Biography
Asma is from Toronto, Canada. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University in 2009. She has worked a number of years in volunteering for non-profit organizations, the private education sector, and K-12 education. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Pedagogy program focusing on digital technology at the University of Toronto. She is currently a mother of three young children. She has started homeschooling her children during COVID-19. This time has provided her with a wonderful opportunity to apply some of the valuable knowledge that was gained through her Master's degree program.
Asma is very passionate about educating and inculcating good ethical values in young children. She has currently started working on children's book series on character development for young children. Through this, she wishes to assist educators and parents in inculcating practical and meaningful values in children. She is also interested in publishing a book on the importance of Moral values in Early Years for educators and parents. Through her education in Early Childhood Education, she has found that building a collaborative learning environment and nurturing young children's moral values is key to building a great nation. She also wishes to create service-learning projects for young children through which using digital mediums can offer a more fulfilling service-learning environment that can help underprivileged.
